The short answer
You pay the courier in cash at your door — no card, no bank account, no online step. A handling fee of 50 PKR is added to cash-on-delivery orders and shown in your checkout total before you confirm. We do not promise you can open the parcel before paying, so check the outside first.
What does cash on delivery cost at Ilaaf Online?
The rider asks for one number, and it is the total on your order confirmation. That total is built from three lines:
| Line | Amount | When you see it |
|---|---|---|
| The items | The prices on the product pages | In the cart, before checkout. |
| Delivery | 150–300 PKR, depending on your city. Free on orders of 3,000 PKR or more. | Calculated at checkout, once your address is entered. |
| Cash-on-delivery handling fee | 50 PKR | Added at checkout and included in the total you confirm. |
There is no separate charge at the door and no rounding up. If the rider asks for a different figure than your confirmation shows, do not pay it — call us first. The full rates are on the shipping policy.
Can you open the parcel before you pay?
Plan on paying first. Our shipping terms do not promise an open-before-payment delivery, and we would rather write that down than let you discover it at the door. Whether an individual rider allows a look is between you and the courier, and not something we can commit to on their behalf.
What that means in practice is simple. The checks worth making are the ones you can make with the parcel still sealed. What protects you after that is the return window, and the shorter separate rule for a parcel that arrives damaged or wrong.
What should you check before you accept a parcel?
- The name and order number on the courier label are yours. A rider carries many parcels, and a swapped label is the most common problem at the door and the easiest one to fix on the spot.
- The amount the rider asks for matches the total on your order confirmation — items, delivery and the 50 PKR handling fee. If it does not match, do not pay.
- The outer packaging is sealed, and has not been slit, re-taped or opened.
- The box is not crushed, soaked or rattling. Refuse a parcel that is visibly damaged rather than accepting it and arguing later.
- You keep the tracking number, and the rider slip if one is offered.
- Open it the same day, filming if you can. The window for reporting a wrong or damaged item is 48 hours and it starts at delivery, not when you get round to opening the bag.
What if the parcel is damaged, or the wrong item is inside?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the problem. We arrange a free pickup and either a replacement or a full refund. You do not pay the return shipping when the fault is ours.
This is a different, shorter rule from an ordinary change of mind, and the two are easy to confuse. The 48-hour window is for something being wrong with what we sent. The 7-day window below is for deciding you would rather not keep it.
What if you simply change your mind?
You can request a return within 7 days of delivery. The item has to be unused, unworn and unwashed, in its original packaging with the tags still attached. Stitched, custom-tailored garments and final-sale items are not returnable at all.
If the return is not our error, the return shipping is deducted from the refund rather than charged separately. The conditions in full are on the return policy.
How is a refund paid back on a cash order?
This is the one real asymmetry of paying in cash: there is no card for the money to go back to. So a refund on a cash-on-delivery order is issued either as store credit on your Ilaaf account, or by bank transfer if you have added your account details in your profile.
Bank transfers are processed within 5–7 business days after the returned item reaches us and has been inspected. Adding your bank details before you need them is the single thing that shortens that wait.
What happens if you are not home when the courier arrives?
The courier attempts delivery up to 3 times. If every attempt fails — an unreachable phone, an address that cannot be found — the parcel is returned to us and the account is flagged.
Repeated failed cash-on-delivery orders can lead to cash-on-delivery being suspended on an account. It is not a penalty we enjoy applying: an undelivered parcel costs the courier two journeys and costs us the stock in the meantime. A working phone number at checkout prevents almost all of it. If a parcel has still not arrived 10 business days after its expected date, contact us and we will trace it.
Can you pay any other way?
Cash on delivery is available on every order and is the method this store is built around. JazzCash and Easypaisa also exist in the checkout and can be switched on for the store. The checkout page reads the live setting, so it — not this guide — is the surface that tells you what is available on the day you order.
Prices are quoted and collected in Pakistani rupees, and we deliver within Pakistan only.
Where should you start?
- How long delivery takes to your city — so you know roughly which day to expect the rider.
- Shipping policy and return policy — the terms this guide summarises, in full.
- Help centre — if something is wrong with a parcel that has already arrived.
Common questions
How much does cash on delivery cost?
A handling fee of 50 PKR is added to cash-on-delivery orders and included in the total you see before confirming. Delivery itself is 150–300 PKR depending on your city, and is free on orders of 3,000 PKR or more.
Can I open the parcel before I pay?
Our shipping terms do not promise it, so plan on paying first. What you can do at the door is check the label, the seal and the condition of the box. What protects you after that is the return window, and the separate rule for items that arrive damaged or wrong.
What if the item is damaged or the wrong one?
Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photos of the problem. We arrange a free pickup and either a replacement or a full refund. That is a separate rule from the ordinary 7-day return window, and it is shorter, so photograph the parcel the day it arrives.
What happens if I am not home when the courier arrives?
The courier attempts delivery up to 3 times. If every attempt fails — an unreachable phone, an incomplete address — the parcel comes back to us and the account is flagged. Repeated failed cash-on-delivery orders can have COD ordering suspended.
